What if you don’t build career resilience?

In the workplace, uncertainty is the only constant.

Those who decide to cling tenaciously to what they currently have are finding it harder and harder to keep up in their career.

They continue to hope that they will be seen and recognized.

But you and I both know that “hope” is not a good career development strategy.

So, why is now the perfect time to build resilience in your career?

In today’s ever-changing marketplace, companies are searching for employees that can grow with them and adapt to changes quickly to enable success. Building career resilience makes you a valuable resource for employers.

Hi there, I’m Cyndi

I am a trauma survivor with 20+ years of corporate experience in building my career by overcoming the legacy effects of trauma on my life. For the longest time, I did not realize that the obstacles that kept me from advancing my career were related to my early childhood trauma, and I struggled tremendously.

In 2018, I had a zip file of repressed memories open up, causing me to go from a high-functioning overachiever to not being able to function at all. When I got into therapy and started learning about trauma and the effects it was having on my life in the present, the obstacles and challenges that were impacting my career advancement began to make sense.

I started applying the tools and techniques that my therapist taught me to my workplace triggers, dysregulation, and hypervigilance, which yielded amazing results. As I continued my healing journey, I learned how to manage my triggers, become empowered to manage my career, and set boundaries, which helped me feel safer in the workplace.

My experiences led me to an important realization

I was not alone in my struggles as a trauma survivor in the workplace…and no one was talking about the effects of trauma on a survivor’s career. I felt compelled to do something to help my fellow-sufferers be successful.

Certified Trauma Recovery Coach

So, in August 2021, I registered for the initial Trauma Recovery Coaching Certification program and was certified in March 2022. I began taking on individual clients while working my corporate job but was limited in how many clients I could serve in my part-time capacity.

Certified Trauma Recovery Group Coach

In August 2022, I registered for the Group Trauma Recovery Coaching Certification program and was certified in March 2023. After my certification, I rebranded myself as a Certified Trauma Recovery Career Coach, specifically focusing on helping survivors with their careers

I did many discovery calls with survivors who were very interested in group coaching focused on their careers, but after paying for therapy, it seemed to be cost-prohibitive for them.

I prayed and wracked my brain for a way that I could make my coaching services more affordable for survivors so I could serve more people.

The answer came to me in the form of a stubborn email in my inbox that would not go away even after deleting it four or five times. I finally realized that this must be coming from God, so I should probably pay attention.

The email was an invitation to a webinar on how to create membership programs. So, one late Sunday night, I attended the webinar, and within five minutes, I knew this was the answer to my prayers that I was looking for. I signed up and completed the eight-week course on creating a membership program, which led to the birth of The Resilient Career Academy™.

And now I’d like to share The Resilient Career Academy™ with you

The challenge with group coaching programs is that they are relatively short when it comes to working through trauma symptoms and I can only serve a small group of people. I knew more people could benefit from what I was teaching. That's why I developed The Resilient Career Academy™ and if you join us, I'd love to help you, too.

So What Is The Resilient Career Academy™ ?

The Resilient Career Academy™ is a compilation of the lessons I've learned about managing the effects of childhood trauma while working to advance my career. The effects of childhood trauma cause many challenges to growing our careers. From learning how to regulate our fluctuating emotions, managing our triggers, allowing ourselves to be seen/heard, understanding who we are and what our strengths are, and defining our purpose, there has been no clear path to success for the trauma survivor…until now.
